NBA All-Star Weekend Preview and TV Schedule

February 14th, 2014

Well it’s that time of year in the NBA. On maybe one of the slowest weekends in all of sports (no NFL, no baseball, and just a bit of whatever “curling” is), the league’s best will hold their Super Bowl in a cultural sense. The All-Star game has always been a block party in the NBA, and this year will be no different.

Unlike your average season however, there are a few juicy story lines to keep an eye on. First, Kevin Durant is still making his all out assault on LeBron’s MVP award. I only say it’s LeBron’s because he’s won it four of the last five years. It would be hard to argue James still isn’t the best in the game, but he’s clearly saving his energy for a playoff run and Durant doesn’t have that burden or pressure to bear right now. Durant and James will be squaring off (Durant with the West and ‘Bron with the East of course), and to make things more interesting, Durant’s old teammate James Hardin will be starting along side him in Kobe Bryant’s position. (Bryant is still ailing from injuries.)

Like every All-Star game, egos will be in play and personalities on display. Don’t miss it. Channel guide is below and be sure to check the NBA’s schedule for a full list.
