Halloween is right around the corner, and there’s no better time than the present to get your family in the holiday spirit! Fortunately, getting in the Halloween mood is easy thanks to some great, appropriately themed family programming! Check out what’s on:
Monstober
Leave it to Disney to hit the nail on the head when it comes to awesome Halloween fun for kids of all ages! Airing every day of October, Monstober is the collective name for a nice stint of Halloween-themed programming hosted by Raini Rodriguez and Calum Worthy (don’t worry–your kids know who they are! The top pick from the lineup is definitely the new show Wolfblood, which is the perfect mix of funny and (not too) scary.
Sabrina: Secrets of a Teenage Witch
Younger parents may remember the hit television series Sabrina, The Teenage Witch starring Melissa Joan Hart. Now, parents can share (or experience for the first time) the fun of Sabrina and her crazy adventures with their little ones. Back in animated form, this series features the voice of Ashley Tisdale as the title character. The reincarnated show will premiere on October 12th on The Hub.
Halloween Craziest
Want something secretly educational and lots of fun? If so, then turn to The Travel Channel on October 13th! This hour long special takes a look at some of the top-rated Halloween attractions around the world. Learn about the most horrifying haunted houses and the spookiest events, including Colorado’s famed coffin race. Providing a healthy dose of culture and great entertainment, this special isn’t one to miss!
Toy Story of Terror!
Do your kids love Toy Story; that’s kind of a silly question–of course they do! Your little ghosts and goblins won’t want to miss this exciting new installment in the Toy Story series. Airing on ABC Family on October 16th at 8pm, the series has all the classic characters taking a road trip that turns scary when one of the toys disappears.
The Good Witch’s Destiny
Hallmark Channel has gained fame for its Halloween “Good Witch” series, which currently features five installments. The sixth, The Good Witch’s Destiny, will premiere on October 26th on the Hallmark Channel. For those not familiar with the film series, it follows good witch Cassie Nightingale. In this installment, Cassie must fight a curse handed down from her aunt, The Grey Lady, in order to keep her family safe.
